Should you backup your data more aggressively if you're using an SSD as your primary OS drive?

I saw a recent post on the Coding Horror blog saying he personally knew someone who bought 8 first-gen ssd drives - all of them failing in a year or less. The author also said that his failed as well. I've got a 60gb ocz vertix 2 running for about 1.5 years now as the primary drive - but should I be concerned to move any existing data to other hdd's?
