XFX 5830 overclocked guide?
Well, the card will only overclock as high as its maximum voltage will allow. And since most manufacturers cap the voltage (for safety reasons), then you're not going to damage it. Heat is obviously an issue when you overclock, though. Which you can counter by increasing fan speed. You can overclock that card right in Catalyst, or with something like MSI Afterburner -- which works with all cards. You can increase the voltage, fan speed, and core & memory clocks. MSI Afterburner will allow you to increase the voltage of the card to the maximum it supports -- which in turn will allow stability when you crank the core speed up. Be sure to run the fan speed high (at least 65% or higher), to keep the heat down when overclocking. To get MSI Afterburner to work on ATi cards, there is a certain tweak you have to make to one of the configuration files in the Afterburner folder.
